About JUR

The Journal of Undergraduate Research (JUR) is dedicated to providing the University of Rochester student body with intellectual perspectives from various academic disciplines. JUR serves as a forum for the presentation of original research, thereby encouraging the pursuit of significant scholarly endeavors.

 

Our publications are regularly distributed to the River Campus, Eastman School of Music, and the University of Rochester Medical Center.

We are committed to promoting undergraduate research and providing opportunities for students to develop their academic and professional skills. We aim to foster a community of scholars who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of knowledge and exploring new ideas. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines, and we welcome all students who are interested in research to join us.

Our Team

Our team is composed of dedicated and talented undergraduate students who are passionate about research. We come from a variety of academic disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, the humanities, and more. Together, we work to create a supportive and collaborative environment for undergraduate research.

Jason is a junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Social Psychology. He is interested in the applications of medical devices and optical imaging systems to improve diagnostic technologies in the clinical setting and how engineering principles alongside technology can play a role in improving healthcare.
